Yes. Please let us know that you will be attending and how many guests you will be bringing with you. You can provide your reservation when you register for the event.

While it's not a requirement for you to show up at 10 a.m., please keep in mind that the first session will begin promptly at 10 a.m. Most sessions will not be repeated. Your best bet is to take a look at the event's agenda and plan your day from there.

Highlander Day will go on rain or shine. All presentations listed on the agenda are conducted indoors. The safety of our guests and UCR personnel is most important, so outdoor programing could change or be cancelled at the last minute due to weather conditions.

Highlander Day is free.
No, parking is free.
Please park in Parking Lot 30.
The bus drop-off is located by Amy S. Harrison Softball Field on Canyon Crest Drive. Please be aware that there is NO bus parking on campus. Buses must drop off and park in an off-campus location.
Highlander Day signs will direct you to the event location.
Because reservations are for general planning purposes only, there is no need to cancel or change the number of guests you are bringing. Any adjustments to the number of guests can be noted at check-in.
No, your attendance at Highlander Day has no effect on your status at UCR. The purpose of this event is to help you get a feel for life at UCR, and to connect with faculty, current students and staff.
No, your offer of admission still stands if you cannot attend Highlander Day. To explore UCR at your convenience, check out our virtual 360-degree tours at visit.ucr.edu.

Yes, but please note that content is specific to each college. For example, only majors in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) will be discussed at CNAS sessions.

Because UCR is a selective campus and majors are impacted, it is best to contact your admissions counselor as soon as possible to see about changing your major, particularly if you are thinking about moving to a different college within the university.

Highlander Day is a way for you to learn about the campus, the student experience and the college to which you were admitted. If you are unsure about your major, we can help you explore the many options. For additional information about majors and minors, visit admissions.ucr.edu/academics.

Highlander Day also offers presentations from faculty, staff and students, as well as campus/housing tours, department open houses, lunch at the Highlander Union Building (HUB), all-day entertainment, and more!
